My contribution to the carving of the totem pole.  The darker spot is where I was smoothing out the wood and it just so happened to work out where David could leave it!






The grandmother that the pole is dedicated to was apart of the eagle clan, so the head is an eagle.



A VERY rare occasion to see, where they were taking down a totem pole that was put up 30 years ago.  The rods holding it up were not sturdy enough, so they decided to take it down, despite the cultural tradition to leave the totem pole exactly where it is if it falls.
